Polymer Printing for Next Generation Electronics & Sensors

Generate complex printed electronics using polymer-based inks and substrates with Sonoplot Microplotter® systems. Our precise fluid dispensers are compatible with a diverse range of feedstock materials, including a choice of optoelectronics-grade polymers. With absolute control over key processing parameters, our Microplotters® offer the utmost precision for your polymer printing projects.

Sonoplot Microplotters® exceed traditional polymer printing technologies (i.e. inkjet printing) in terms of accuracy, feature continuity, and user flexibility without the dispenser clogging or tuning.  A wide variety of feature types can be deposited with a positional resolution as low as 5 microns (μm) and a feature range of 5-200 μm. Polymer printing with our Microplotters® can subsequently yield cutting-edge optical and electronic elements with microscale dimensions, from novel light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to advanced aspheric optics.

Researchers have leveraged our Microplotters® for completely novel investigations into next-generation electronics arrays, such as stretchable thin-film transistors and integrated logic circuits and solution-processed transistors. We envisage our Microplotter® systems as the future go-to solution for rapid prototyping of printed electronic elements.

Polymer Printing with Sonoplot

Sonoplot has developed a patented ultrasonic dispensing technology that facilitates the true contiguous printing of varied materials. With a broad viscosity range of 0-450 centipoise (cP), our Microplotter® systems can handle a rich variety of underlying feedstocks, including electroluminescent polymers and epoxy resins.
